To become an advanced open water Diver you must complete 5 adventure dives. You have to complete the two
“core” dives (Deep Dive, Navigation Dive) and then you can choose 3 of the following adventure dives.

Program Options
The ‘Adventures in Diving Program’ offers two different certifications. A diver successfully completing three
adventure dives will receive the ‘PADI Adventure Diver’ certification. If you complete three elective dives plus
the two core dives ‘Deep’ and ‘Under Water Navigation’ you will become certified as
a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver.

• When do courses start?
Aqua Scuba runs Advanced and Adventure Diver Courses on a daily basis from October to May.
• What are the prerequisites to enroll into the program?
You need to have a PADI Open Water Diver certification or an equivalent card of any accepted training association.
Adventure Divers need to be at least 10 years old and Advanced Open Water Divers need to be at least 12 years
of age.
• When can my program start?
Immediately after completing your Open Water Diver course.
• How will I get to the course?
Aqua Scuba will provide you with free transportation from anywhere on ko Lanta.
• What do I need for my course?
PADI Advanced Open Water Crew Pack. This you can obtain from Aqua Scuba or any other PADI Dive store.
• What do I need to bring?
Two passport photos, swim suit, towel, sun lotion.
• How long does the course take?
The Adventure Diver can be completed in just one day or if you prefer a more relaxed pace in 2 days and the
Advanced Open Water Diver two or three days depending on the option you choose.
• How many dives does my course include?
Adventure Diver: 3 Training Dives
Advanced Diver: 5 Training Dives
• How deep will I dive during my course?
Maximum 30 meters / 100 feet
• Will we penetrate a wreck?
No, this is part of the Wreck Diver Specialty course.
• What is the objective to meet during Under Water Navigation?
After a practice on land and some training under water you will navigate a quadrangle with a circumference of 120m.
• Can I get certified as a Nitrox Diver during the course?
Yes, such a combination is possible for all students from the age of 15 years.
• How is the course conducted?
The Adventures in Diving Program does not require any classroom sessions but extended briefings will be given on
the boat by your instructor. Under water you will practice and perform the required exercises.
• What if I need to skip the course for any reason?
In such a case you will only need to pay for the service that you have already received.
• How can I make a booking?
