NITROX DIVER
PADI’s most popular specialty course
has successfully been running by Aqua Scuba since 2004.
The purpose of using Nitrox is to extend the ‘No Decompression Limit’ (NDL), by increasing the percentage of oxygen in the breathing gas. In other words
NITROX means to be able to stay longer under water or shorten the surface intervals. Diving with enriched air can be achieved in two ways.
Discover Enriched Air NITROX
During a day trip aboard our power boat you will be trained to use Nitrox 32 (which means 32% of oxygen).
In a workshop you will learn how to analyze the contents of a tank and to measure the amount of oxygen. ‘Discover Enriched Air Nitrox’ can be taught
as a stand alone course or as part of the Adventures in Diving program. After successful completion you will receive your certificate that allows you
to use Nitrox 32.
Nitrox Specialty
This course starts with a classroom session on the first day, followed by a boat trip aboard our power boat on the second day, and includes two open
water training dives as well as an additional workshop about dive planning while using Nitrox 32 and Nitrox 36. After successful completion of the
course you will be qualified to use enriched air with up to 40% oxygen and therefore you can benefit from all the properties that make Nitrox so popular.
PADI Nitrox Specialty divers are qualified to:
• Obtain Nitrox fills with up to 40% oxygen

• Is Nitrox used to increase depth limits?
No. Nitrox helps to lengthen 'No Decompression Limits' and is most effective if you plan multiple dives on a

amount of oxygen shrinks the amount of nitrogen in your scuba tank.
